Community and responsibility

Terms of use

Last updated: September 2026

1. Your responsibility

Members are responsible for the tours, text, photos and GPS data they submit. Content must not infringe the rights of others and must not be unlawful, abusive or dangerously misleading.

2. Photos and identifiable people

Only your own photos, or photos for which you have sufficient permission, may be uploaded. If people are identifiable, their consent must cover the selected visibility of the tour unless a legal exception applies. A private hiking group is not a public event merely because of its size. Particular care is required for minors; identifiable minors must not be published without the required consent of a parent or guardian.

The confirmation made during upload is stored with its timestamp. It does not replace the consent actually required from the people depicted. If visibility is later expanded, consent must also cover the wider audience.

3. Reports and temporary hiding

Affected people and rights holders may report a photo using “Report photo”. A complete, reasoned report initially causes the photo to be hidden as a precaution. The reporting person must provide accurate contact details and act in good faith. Abusive reports are prohibited.

4. Necessary action

The operator may hide or remove content if an infringement is credibly reported, these rules are breached, or a review is required. Content does not become the operator’s property; the member grants only the use necessary to display, store and technically process it within Bergerlebnisse.

5. Safety of tour information

Tour reports and tracks reflect personal experience. They may be outdated, incomplete or inaccurate and do not replace your own planning, current information, suitable equipment and assessment of local conditions.
